Oklahoma City, Okla. — In a commanding display of skill and determination, the Classen SAS@NE Lady Comets triumphed over Madill High School with a resounding 6-0 win in a thrilling girls varsity soccer match held at Moses F. Miller Stadium on Friday evening.

Right from the outset, the Lady Comets asserted their dominance, launching a relentless offensive onslaught from the moment the referee's whistle sounded. Despite their aggressive attacking play, only one goal found the net in the first half, with freshman standout Payton Germann delivering a clinical finish in the 20th minute.

Although the first half concluded with the Lady Comets holding a narrow 1-0 lead, they emerged from the break with renewed determination. Sophomore Carol Peralta and freshmen Avery Fisher, Payton Germann, and Harper LeForce showcased exceptional teamwork and coordination, propelling their team forward and leaving Madill struggling to keep pace.

Commenting on the team's performance, Head Coach Chris Germann expressed his satisfaction, stating, "This is the first time this season the team started a game with energy and intensity, and it definitely showed how much of an impact that makes." Germann also praised Harper LeForce, remarking, "Harper LeForce had a complete game tonight. She is really growing into every role that is asked of her each time she steps on the field."

Reflecting on the significance of the victory, Coach Germann added, "This game was a huge moment for the girl’s program here at SAS@NE. We took over 20 shots tonight, and I don’t think we even took 20 shots all last season."

Freshman player Payton Germann credited LeForce for her pivotal role in the match, stating, "Harper LeForce brought it today. She was in the best position when I needed an outlet pass and she played many balls to the right spot to set me up for a shot."

Sophomore player Ashlynn Hopper commended her teammates for their unwavering energy and intensity, noting, "The energy these girls brought from the start made this a great win for the team. Being on the field with this energy was contagious and these girls inspired me to play and match the same intensity."

Sophomore Manager Keila Diaz highlighted the team's newfound confidence as a key factor in their success, stating, "There was a lot more confidence from the team today, and I believe that was a big part of their success."

In the second half, the Lady Comets continued their dominance, with goals from Peralta, Fisher, LeForce, junior Berta Perez, and senior Amy Effinger securing a comprehensive 6-0 victory.

With this impressive win under their belts, the Lady Comets now look ahead to their next challenge as they prepare to face Cordell on March 25th at 6:00 pm, once again at Moses F. Miller Stadium.
