OKLAHOMA CITY — The Classen SAS at Northeast softball team struggled to find its rhythm Tuesday night, dropping a non-district contest to Putnam City North.
The Lady Comets faced an uphill battle after a difficult first inning but showed resilience the rest of the way. Sophomore Lauren Talley highlighted the defense with several sharp plays in the field, while freshman Ariana Candelaria recorded the team’s lone hit of the night.
“We had a tough first inning, but after that we settled down and competed with a very good softball team,” head coach Hudson said.
Classen SAS at Northeast will return to action Tuesday, Aug. 19, with a doubleheader at U.S. Grant beginning at 4 p.m.
