OKLAHOMA CITY - The Classen SAS athletic department announced the hiring of Mike Riggs as the new Football head coach on Friday.

Riggs is no stranger to OKCPS as he arrived to the district in 2015 after previous coaching stops in Tahlequah and Chickasha. He has coached at both the middle and high school levels in football, basketball, and track. In the 2017-18 athletic season, he was named the OKCPS Middle School Coach of the Year.

Riggs has served as a Defensive Coordinator and Head Coach at the High School level in OKCPS. Last season, he served as the Defensive Coordinator and Assistant Head Coach at Mount St. Mary's High School, before accepting the position at Classen SAS.

"I'm very excited to be back in OKCPS." said Riggs. "We have some outstanding athletes at Classen SAS, and I can't wait to watch them grow on and off the field this season."
